Dear Daedra: Explain Strawesome’s Lifetime Guarantee

Strawesome’s Lifetime Guarantee covers your Strawesome glass straw in the event of accidental breakage for the life of the straw!  This is one of the first things our customers are most curious about because most glassware companies will not replace their glass product when it breaks.  Why?

The bottom line is some people will not buy a glass straw because it could break. The risk in buying a product that might break (even though most of us do it all the time already) is the number one objection. In reality, 3% of our straws sold have been replaced since we started in 2009. Regardless, we took the “it will break” objection away and our customers have been pleasantly surprised with the durability, strength, and longevity of our glass straws once they gave them a chance.

With alternatives to single use plastic straws, it is possible for us to reduce the environmental impact on the planet, animals, and even our own health. Did you know that plastics are not digestible? Putting plastics in our mouth is one of the most dangerous things we can do to ourselves. The next worse thing is putting those plastics permanently into the environment. They have nowhere to go since they do not decompose either. It creates the question: Why make plastic products like straws in the first place?

How to Replace a Strawesome Damaged Glass Straw

Our straws are too beautiful to allow them to perish and not come back into your life! We use the honor system, so if you purposely* broke your straw, please refrain from requesting a replacement.

To start the process, please fill out this Replacement Request Form and follow the instructions for obtaining your replacement. There is no need for you to return your broken straw to us as most cannot be repaired. Also, the carbon footprint to return a broken straw is completely unnecessary.

We will email you an electronic coupon code worth the retail price of the broken product (taxes and shipping are not included) which you can use on our online store to order any replacement product you choose.

If you order a product of higher value, you will simply pay the difference. If you don’t see your same product, simply ask us and we will recreate it for you.  If you have a previous code that you forgot to redeem and now have a new replacement code, simply ask us or note it on your new replacement request form and we will combine them all into one.

Note that our lifetime warranty does not expire.  We aim to make your replacement process easy and hassle free!

Please note that when you fill out your Replacement Request Form we will always respond within 3 business days.  When the form is submitted you will receive a copy of your submission at the email address you provided.  If you do not hear back from us in the allotted time frame and you did not receive an email copy of your form then you know we did not receive your form.  For each damaged item request we ask that you please fill out a different form, please do not add multiple request onto one form.  Doing so helps us determine the correct price for the items that were damaged and the forms are kept in our records. *On purpose means you told your friend it wasn’t breakable and then threw it on the tile floor in the kitchen and it didn’t make it (this is an actual true story).

  5. I love my strawesome straws. I use one everyday, all day in my drink at work and carry them with me for my son and I out and about. I have broken one. It fell on the floor but I didn’t send it in because I won it in a contest so didn’t feel that was right. I buy them for presents too and tell everyone about them. Now I need to man up and get a glass drinking container – so nervous about that! but i hate drinking out of metal!

  7. I just bought my straws one broke in the dishwasher. I wasn’t aware of the replacement guarantee. Now I know… I may make Strawsome Straws a partying gift for my wedding – that’s how much I love them!

  8. I use your straws every day when making and drinking my coffee from a Ball glass jar. They are very durable and easy to clean. I love all the colors and need to collect more. They stay out on my counter in a green Ball glass just like your picture! They are way too pretty to hide.

  11. I bought two beautiful designed straws which I had carefully cherished them for more than 3 years. Though I had been very careful, my aunt had recklessly broke them in different occasions. It was hard to believe! I was unaware of the replacement policy and unsure if cover international address too. Recently I ordered 4 new straws and shipped to a USA address. Subsequently my friend brought it back to Singapore for me. I was tempted to buy the designed straws but decided against it as I worry my aunt might accidentally break them again. So I ended up buying sale items to be prudent.

  12. I bought one and then it broke, so we replaced it using your guarantee. Then I broke it in the dishwasher very shortly after that. I was too ashamed to ask for a replacement again! I was thinking how wonderful teacher gifts these will be so maybe I’ll ask for my replacement when I buy for Christmas 😀

  17. I’ve had my Strawesome straw since February of this year. I got it after my wife got one because she was starting a green smoothie detox and I saw how cool it was! I’m probably going to need to get myself a new one soon due to the fact that my 2.5 year old son has just about taken over my straw! He loves drinking from it and always requests it. 🙂

  20. I think I purchased our first straws for Christmas nearly 4 years ago. We accidentally broke a few of our glass straws in the beginning when they rolled off the counter. We only buy bent straws now. 🙂

  21. I bought my first Glass straw on Sept 15, 2015, and have never looked back! I love my glass straws. I drink smoothies every day. Have a variety now, and I recently bought the camelbak glass straw for my glass camelbak. I usually have lemon or lime in my water, so not leeching toxins from plastic is a huge bonus!

  22. I’ve had mine about 2 years, I think. I love it! When it broke you all were quick to send the replacement code, but I haven’t replaced it as I was hoping to do it during a free shipping deal and your form wouldn’t take both codes 🙁 My husband was unemployed and there wasn’t money for extras.
