Daedra’s Favorites: The Green Glove Dryer

Daedra’s Favorites: The Green Glove Dryer

Wet mittens, wet gloves, wet hat. There’s nothing worse for a little kid who’s excited to go play in the snow to have to endure the feeling of wet cold-weather accessories.  I have a favorite product that I use daily (in the winter) to get those items toasty warm and dry! The Green Glove Dryer!

A fellow mom from Michigan invented this great product and I have been using mine ever since I discovered it last winter. The way it works is you place the device over your heating vent, attach the “arms” to it and slip your wet items over those arms.  You use no extra electricity, the warm air from your heating vent automatically dries the items. Voila!!!

We just had our first major snowfall in Michigan and my kids both came in covered head-to-toe with snow! I automatically got out The Green Glove Dryer and stuck their sopping wet mittens and gloves on it (the photo above shows my dryer in action!).  An hour later when they wanted to go out and play again, their mittens and gloves were totally dry, plus nice and warm.  You can get extenders for the arms and use the unit to heat up your boots before you go outside or dry them after you come in from outside.

The Green Glove Dryer originally started with a unit intended for floor vents only. This year they came out with the amazing Wall Dryer for use on wall heating vents.

This product is perfect for anyone that loves a wintery outdoor season – skiing, hiking, playing, snowshoeing… the list goes on!

When you purchase from The Green Glove Dryer, you’re supporting a Michigan-made product that is run by a wonderful mom that I know personally.  You can order from their website or you can find them in these stores!

One lucky person will win their very own The Green Glove Dryer!! Comment on this post and tell me what your favorite outdoor winter activity is.  One comment per person please, one winner will be chosen on December 20, 2016.

  1. My son loves sledding. However, this year he will be starting snowboarding lessons so I see lots of extremely wet gloves, hats and boots in my future!

  6. Sledding but I really want to try cross country skiing again. I did it often as a kid and it’s been years.
