A WonderFULL 4 years!

As Strawesome hits its 4th year in business, I’m surrounded by the wonderful experience this company has given myself, my family, and the people we serve.  I want to focus on all the blessings we are celebrating today!  We’re also offering a special for our customers and a giveaway for you AND a friend!

While work has kept me busier than ever, I’ve been fortunate to get so much out of all the time I put into Strawesome!

* I’m most proud of operating our business debt free for 4 years!  We haven’t even used a credit card – we’ve simply invested back into our business.

*  In June 2012, our family was able to settle into a new home in a friendly and beautiful community that we love.  Times were tough in prior years and I’m proud to say things are looking up.  We were even able to make some renovations on our new digs.

* We have been able to provide our two boys with fun extracurricular activities like sports, Cub Scouts and guitar lessons.  In the past, this was not something we could spare in our budget, but we’re making it a priority for the future.

* Strawesome has been able to donate to many causes around the world in 2012!  From local events to retreats on the other side of the world, Strawesome newbies are sipping everywhere!  We look forward to continue donating to a wide variety of causes in 2013.

* In late 2012, Brian and Essential IT worked extremely hard to update Strawesome’s website.  Anyone who has developed a website knows how challenging the process can be at times, but with the help of the team at Essential IT we’re proud of our website and its wonderful functionality.

* Early this year, we welcomed aboard a new distributor, Kula Wellness, in Australia and New Zealand. Kula is making Strawesome straws more attainable for customers far away from us!

And our future is bright!

In April, we’re headed to our first big trade show – the Green Festival in New York City.  We’re really excited about this and are preparing like crazy for a great booth with a great presence at this show. If you’re in the area, make sure to stop by and visit Strawesome – we love to see our customer’s smiling faces!

We’ve hired a few helpers around the office that are making larger projects more feasible and in the future we’re looking to expand even more!

Everyday we are presented with exciting new opportunities that will continue to take Strawesome to another level.

To celebrate the past four years and the many more to come, we’re offering FREE SHIPPING through Sunday, March 17, 2013 on USA shipping addresses only. Use promo code: WONDERFULL4

Comment below with someone you’d like us to send a FREE straw to and why you chose them, and we’ll choose one entry randomly on Sunday, March 17, 2013 – and you’ll BOTH get a straw!

Thank you for all your love and support of my business and passion in life.  Without you, I wouldn’t be as fulfilled as I am today!  I’m looking forward to the future of Strawesome!

  1. Congratulations with your achieved success! I just love your straws. Just bought my daughter one from Zerbo’s, since she’s starting to drink green smoothies for breakfast! This gift will encourage her to keep it up!
But I think you should send a straw to ‘Drought’ in Plymouth. http://www.droughtjuice.com/
These 5 sisters run a great new business pressing cold organic juices. These two companies (yours and theirs) seem like a perfect match for each other!!
    Good luck in the future!

  4. Congrats on 4 great years!! There’s nothing better than thriving while doing what you love. 🙂 I would love for you send a straw to my good friend, Jo, who is pregnant with lucky number 4! She has been using cloth napkins before being earth friendly was “in”, doesn’t keep paper towels readily accessible, using towels instead. Plus, she’s just a pretty amazing person. 🙂

  5. Oh, how we love our glass Strawesome straws!!! I have sent them to many family members as gifts. Would love to send one to a friend that has recently been trying to improve her health with juicing and smoothies. A glass straw would be a great way to encourage her to keep up with her new healthy lifestyle. Thanks for the most lovely and useful product!

  6. Wow, 4 years, that is so wonderful!!! 🙂 I bet you feel like it is all a dream, and you have created such a terrific product, my day would not be complete without a glass Strawesome straw 🙂

I would love to have a free straw sent to my Brother, Tim. He has volunteered to take care of our Dad thru many difficult and challenging physical changes over the past year. I would love for him to have a glass straw, to encourage him to drink a healthy smoothie each morning, to keep himself healthy and energized, and to let him know that I love him and appreciate all that he has done for Dad and our family. xoxo

  9. My BFF has been struggling with fibro and other health issues and faces being disabled for life. I have been helping her eat better and take better care of herself, all of which she is trying to do, and she has also started drinking more water. She drinks with my straws when she’s at my house and I know she would love something bright to cheer her up.

  13. I would love to send a beautiful straw to my wonderful daughter. Just a token of my love. We had a huge loss 1 month ago and we’re both hurting very bad. Her sister passed on February 7th from an overdose and I just want to send her a little token of love. Even though she had to move in with me. She has always loved straws and won’t drink without one. <3

  17. I am a hard core tree hugger / food advocate and am thrilled to see a “green” small local business thrive. CONGRATULATIONS! I am a firm believer that you are either part of the problem or part of the solution. Stawesome is part of the solution in today’s disposable plastic ridden world.

One extremely deserving talented Michigan small business entrepreneur is Zorka Pondell, she owns http://www.theclassichorse.com some of her pieces are glass jewelry. She designs and creates simple, elegant timeless pieces of jewelry which MAKE A STATEMENT, which is exactly how I would describe your straws and I view them as beverage jewelry. Zorka’s birthday is March 11th, she is a joy to have a conversation with, always promotes other artists and small businesses. If someone asks her about the glass straw she’s using, she better have some on hand because this lady can sell. Zorka does many out of state shows, traveling most of the year. She works really hard and a beautiful handmade glass straw would be an awesome unexpected treat!
    Thank You!

  27. Wow! Hard to believe that my straws are four years old! I would love to have a straw to give to Ten Ren Tea and Ginseng Co in Rockville MD. It is my kids favorite place to go for bubble tea. They are always fascinated that I bring my own GLASS straw. I am sure that glass straws would be a big seller in their tea shop.

  36. Congratulations! May God continue to bless your business and bring health to those who use your straws. I’d like to have a straw sent to our soon-to-be son-in-law to encourage his appetite for all things healthy and to celebrate his living out the perfect meaning of love for our daughter and family: his love is patient, and kind, does not envy, is not puffed up, does not behave unseemly or seeks his own; is not easily provoked, and thinks no evil. This love will never fail. Thanks for the opportunity to have free shipping and send a straw to another.

  44. Congratulations on four years…to many more! I love these straws and often give them as gifts. I’d love to send a straw to my friend who, while my son was out of school for six days with the flu, took the time to drop off my son’s homework to our house. Moreover, she’s incredibly giving, occasionally bringing me small gifts (chocolate bars, organic soaps) for no reason at all. I’d love to give her this little surprise.

  49. Congratulations on 4 years! I would love to send a straw to my 80 year old mother. She has to use straws due to dental issues, and does not like the plastic ones. She has always insisted on drinking from glass glasses because of the cleanliness that does not come from plastic. There are no lingering odors from glass, and you taste only what is in the glass to drink.
